Hey everyone!!! Merry/Happy/Whatever you say for Kwanzaa but I think it's "Happy" late Christmahanukwanzaaka!!!!! If you're wondering about the title, well you see, I clicked onto the 10monthsofwork blog, and i saw me in a video!!! *happy face* But alas, there was either:
a. something wrong with my sound on the computer
b. something wrong with their sound on the computer or
c. both
*sad face*
I'm guessing option a. So ya I just was going to start doing some homework, and then I remembered that I hadn't posted on the blog for awhile, so I figured that I could post AND procrastinate all at the same time!!!!! I <3 technology, but only if it cooperates with me. Like my memory stick for example, I <3 it because it is easy to work AND (don't you love my large "ands" because I do!!!!) it is fun to play with!!! (just ask Eric, and I think he can justify!!!)
So ya, I hope that you all enjoy break because well, we could all use a break, so ya that's what I wanted to say!!!
Bye!!!!!!!

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: Book One: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordin
Okay hi people!!! Today was a snow day, so I had a lot of time on my hands. I finished reading The Lightning Thief and I want to thank you guys who have suggested the series to me before, but it just took a long time for me to actually read it. The first book was soooo good!!!! I am a fan of the Twilight series, and it looks like this book could compete because the series already seems awesome!!! I have a feeling the the books get better throughout the series, and I doubt that it could be any better than The Lightning Thief because it was amazing. If the series can get better, than it is going to be better than Twilight. So most of you guys probably already The Lightning Thief, so the review will be brief.
The Lightning Thief is a book about Percy Jackson, a boy with ADHD, dyslexia, and has been kicked out of six schools and is in sixth grade. At every school, something strange has always happened, and when Percy tries to tell others what happened, nobody believes him. Things start to get even weirder with his best friend, Grover, and his mother. Percy eventually learns a secret that changes his life, and there is no going back. There is no ignoring it. Monsters are after him, and his life is put at risk many times. Percy is granted a quest, which he accepts, and he needs to retrieve one of the most important weapons in history before the summer solstice. Can he do it?
So that's my review, and if you haven't started to read the series, you REALLY should. I honestly couldn't put it down, and I found myself reading ALL THE TIME!!! It is easy to read and is such a great story!
Once again, thank you everyone who suggested it to me!!! (Danielle, Lief, Eric)
Bye!! =D

Charlie Brown Is Inspiring
Hiyas!!!!
Study-
Did Algebra and studied for History. Listened to IPod. Talked to Alma.
History-
Took a HUGE (notice how HUGE it is, I wrote in caps) test. This test will either make or break or grade, but I think I did okay. The twinkle twinkle little star kid came in with a late pass, and the teacher didn't think it was the actual teacher's signature on the pass, so he called the teacher's room. Someone answered and it wasn't the right teacher. My teacher said "You're not _______" (teacher's name). He called a different number and he put it on speaker so we could hear the conversation, and on mute so he couldn't hear what we were saying, but he never picked up.
Lunch-
I realized halfway through lunch that Eric wasn't there. (it takes me awhile, no offense Eric) Tried to give him my coffee cake, but he didn't want it. Nobody, not even Nick, wanted my coffee cakes, including myself. Discussed our trick or treat rocks that Danielle has to make. Can't wait till Halloween!!!!
Science-
Continued previous lab.
Classy Thingy-
Talked about whiffle ball game that we have to continue on Thursday.
English-
LOTF, notes, etc., etc.
See yas!!!!!!!!

Graceling by Kristin Cashore
Hi people! I finished my next book! This book was recommended to me by the librarian at my school. The book is called Graceling by Kristin Cashore. Let me start by saying that if you love books that are 'all their own', you will love this. The story begins with a girl named Katsa who lives in the Middluns. Katsa has a Grace for killing. A Grace is a special skill, and everyone who has a Grace has two different color eyes. Katsa has a blue and a green one. She works for King Randa, who sends her to do his dirty work and punish innocent people. In Lienid, a man, Prince Tealiff, has been kidnapped, and the people in Randa's court, including Katsa, have saved him. Randa does not know of this. Who kidnapped Grandfather Tealiff?
Prince Po of Lienid learns that his grandfather is in Middluns, so he comes by. Po is also Graced with fighting. Katsa and Po become very close friends, and practice fighting each other frequently. They realize that they had a past encounter, but where?
Katsa and Po travel to Monsea to save a princess, but why? Everyone says that King Leck is a great person, so why would they go to his court? Do they suspect him of kidnapping Grandfather Tealiff? Through this journey, Katsa and Po learn of each other's Graces, and they learn their true feelings about each other. Will they rescue the princess? Can they find out who kidnapped Grandfather Tealiff? Is Leck who everyone thinks he is? What will come of Katsa and Po? Read this enchanting story and find out.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
All the snow is gone... :-(
Study Hall-
Had a sub. Went to the library. Did algebra, creative writing, asked a teacher a few science questions, and read my book. Talked to Alma a little.
History-
Great, like always. Took a quiz, and started to follow our class laws. We are learning about Hammurabi and his Code of Laws, so we made our own that we have to follow for awhile. It is going good so far. Someone had to sit in the corner, and someone else had to do 25 push-ups. He was also supposed to run up and down the stairs singing 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star', while the rest of us watched him and thought 'What an idiot", but we ran out of time. So sad. Learned about the Persians.
Lunch-
Traded everything and anything with everybody and anybody.
Science-
Had another sub. Took a quiz and watched a movie called 'Pole to Pole'.
That Class Thingy-
Free Friday. Did my science homework. Lost my dollar. An upperclassman found it.
English-
Had the same sub I had for study hall. Took a quiz on nouns (so many quizzes today!) and watched part of two movies. We watched LOTF in color and black and white. To all of you out there, black and white is better. The pilot is ALIVE in the color version!!!! In black and white, it goes by the book. Same lines and everything.
Bus Ride-
Had ANOTHER SUB. Got home.
Home-
Talked to Thomas a little, went to my brother's baseball practice, froze, talked to a girl named Liz about my book, came home, entertained you all.
Bye Bye Internet!!!!!

Yay For The First Snow This Season!!! :D
Hi everybody!!! First off, I want to say something to Nick. HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY!!!
Foreign Language-
Took a test, reviewed for the test, read part of my book.
Mysterious Class-
Did two worksheets and started to cut out pictures for a collage.
Lunch-
Wasn't really in a Chex Mixy mood, split my chocolate chip cookie with Alma, Whitney, Chrissy, Mary, and myself. Alma had my coffee cake.
Algebra-
Went over homework, got 2/8 right!!! Yayayayay!!!! And one of my correct answers was done by the teacher himself, so really, I did one all by myself!!! Took a test...Yay Tests! (not really) IT STARTED TO SNOW!!!!!!
The Other Class I Can't Go Into Detail About Thingy-
COMPETITION THURSDAY!!!! Totally beat the teacher!!!! Learned that there is such things as moo cows. (and you need the moo, by the way)
Last Class Of The Day-
Decorated a box, got partners, I got Makenzie!!!!!! (thank God because usually when I get paired randomly, I ALWAYS get someone who won't work, but Mac WILL work!!!!!!! that means I don't have to do all the work by myself!)
Bus Ride Home-
My mom called me and told me to ask the bus driver the time we would get picked up in the morning when we have a 90 minute delay. He told her 90 minutes later. She was not happy.
My mom hopes that I don't have to go to my extra-curricular activity that I can't tell you about, so it doesn't really concern you. Sorry.
Bye Bye Bloggers!!!!!!

Nebby
Hi everybody!!!! So here is the second time I am posting about school.....
Study Hall-
Did algebra homework which I did not understand. I left half of the questions blank because I didn't know what I was doing. Some one of my teachers teaching a class. Talked to Alma. (one of my friends)
History-
Discussed Assyrians. The teacher told us that he told his wife if they ever had a child, he would name him (if it was a boy) Nebuchadnezzar (used Google for spelling...). He told her for short, they can call him Chad. He said his wife gave him an evil glare when he said that. Someone told him to name his cat Nebuchadnezzar, and he said that he didn't think it was a good idea. In response, the student said "You can call him Nebby!" I think you had to be there.
Lunch-
Discussed Nebuchadnezzar, ate food, the usual. Eric and I decided that it wasn't light enough outside. Way too dark.
Science-
Took notes on chemistry from PowerPoint. Watched a baby panda shriek (sneeze) and a penguin hop on a boat to save himself from being chased by killer whales. Took notes on carbon and looked at pictures on a slideshow of my teacher's trip to Galapagos. Oh ya, and I saw the Sodium Factory being robbed of an electron.........James Bond will save the day!!!
Unmentionable Class-
If you haven't learned by now, I have this class for 20 minutes everyday and it is still unmentionable and forever will be. (maybe)
English-
Read my book (which I will tell you all about when I am done reading it. Ooo mystery!!!!!). Took notes on nouns, indirect and direct characterization, and got a worsksheet on Lord of the Flies, but we didn't do it today.
All-in-all, it was a pretty good day!!!!!

Mean Is Not Accepted
So this post is about what happened today. My mother does not want me to tell you of my classes that I chose, but I can tell you about the classes that everyone has (History, English, etc.)
Foreign Language-
I won't tell what language I am in, but I took a quiz today and we a question activity with a partner.
Anonymous Class I Can't Tell You Of-
Still anonymous...sorry!!!!
Lunch-
Eric gave me his Cheddar Chex Mix. In exchange, he got my Traditional Chex Mix. I learned that Cheddar Chex Mix is a book, and it is as great as The Hunger Games and a lot better than Lord of the Flies.
Algebra-
Mean is not accepted. Think about it. Also, someone came into class today, and it was her birthday, but the teacher was not really amused. For some reason, she called him her husband, and she divorced him...Three other kids came in and asked to use the flex room. I also learned that it is easy to ignore someone.
------
Unmentionable Class-
Unmentionable....what else can I say?
Bus Ride Home-
So apparently on Friday, there was some big 'issue' on the bus after I got off. Rather not go into detail, but the principal had to come on the bus.
That's about all I have to say for today. Bye!!!

The Pact: A Love Story by Jodi Picoult

Hello bloggers!!! So, like I said in my first post, this blog is about two things, one of which is awesome books, so here is a really good book that is one of my personal favorites. I just finished reading it about two-three weeks ago. It is called The Pact: A Love Story by Jodi Picoult. For future reference, Jodi Picoult is the author of My Sister's Keeper, which I hear is also a really great book. This book was recommended to me by Kasey. She did a book talk for this novel, and her book talk was so good, I had to read it to find out the ending.
The book is about two families, the Hartes and the Golds. The Hartes and the Golds had met when the Golds moved and became neighbors with the Hartes. The parents became such great friends, and both women were even pregnant at the same time. Chris Harte was born first, and shortly after Emily Gold was born. The children became friends, and theirs parents hoped that once their children got older, they would date, and later on, marry. Things had been going great. They did start dating when they were just entering their teenage years, and they fell in love. So you would think that everything is alright between the two, until Emily ends up dead. Chris was with her when Emily was shot in the head. They say it is a suicide, but things start to change. Emily died of a bullet wound to the head, and Chris was a hunter who could shot a gun at ease, so people start to wonder, did Chris Harte kill Emily Gold? But why would he, after all, because they were in love. But did something push him too far? Did Emily shoot herself? Read the book to find out.
One of the things I really liked about this book was the flashbacks that took place. Throughout the novel, flashbacks occur and you get to see Emily and Chris when they were little kids, playing and having fun. The flashbacks continue, and you see them as teenagers and how they were doing then. I do notice know that each flashback becomes more depressing, because people start to become unhappy, but during this, the story gets extremely suspenseful. I honestly had trouble putting it down.
So who killed Emily Gold? That is for me to know, and for you to find out.

The Beginning
Hi! I'm Angela, and well, as you can see, I am starting a blog. Pretty amazing, right? Nobody knew I was capable of this I bet, so I am probably sending everyone into shock-mode. Well, here are some things you should know about me...
First of all, I am a freshman. I have many fiends at the high school that I attend such as Danielle, Eric, Kevin, Rain, Kasey, etc., etc. Sorry, I won't name all of them, but you will probably hear about them in my future posts. I have friends who are about a year younger than me such as Thomas, Amber, and Jayda. I also have friends who are a lot younger than me, but I won't get into the details. I like to play basketball, read, write, and I love listening to music.
So this blog is going to be mainly centered around two things. 1.) My life, what today entitled, and anything exciting. 2.) Books I am reading or have read. Books are great and I want to share the books that I have read, so you can read them yourself, if you wish.
So that's all I have to say for my intro. Thanks for reading!!!
